Am 16.10.26 veröffentlichen Insomnium ihr neues Album Netherworlds. Ich suchte nach den richtigen Worten, um euch diese Band vorzustellen und fand sie zufällig auf der Homepage ihres Vertriebs: Seit ihrem Auftauchen aus der nebelverhangenen karelischen Stadt Joensuu bringt INSOMNIUM Licht in das Leben derer, die im Schatten leben. Nur wenige Bands vereinen düstere Klänge, Melodie und Musikalität so wie die finnische Band INSOMNIUM. Ihre Musik ist ein Soundtrack voller Intensität und Verzweiflung, der einen in seinen Bann zieht und nicht mehr loslässt. Eine Meisterleistung finnischer Melancholie. (Quelle Sony Music).
Besser kann ich es nicht ausdrücken! Ich bin keine Metalfan. Je öfter ich das Album höre, destso besser gefällt es mir!! Ein Muss für jeden, der es etwas härter mag und gleichzeitg geniessen möchte!

On 16 October 26, Insomnium will release their new album Netherworlds. I was searching for the right words to introduce this band to you and happened to find them on the their distributor’s website: Since emerging from the mist-shrouded Karelian town of Joensuu, INSOMNIUM have been bringing light into the lives of those who live in the shadows. Few bands combine dark sounds, melody and musicality quite like the Finnish band INSOMNIUM. Their music is a soundtrack full of intensity and despair that captivates you and never lets you go. I couldn’t put it better myself! I’m not a metal fan. The more I listen to the album, the more I like it!! A must-have for anyone who likes it a bit heavier but still wants to enjoy it!

Seit ihrem Auftauchen aus der nebelverhangenen karelischen Stadt Joensuu bringt INSOMNIUM Licht in das Leben derer, die im Schatten leben. Zum zehnten Mal heben sie den Vorhang für ein neues Album voller finnischer Melancholie, eindringlicher Melodien und wildem Melodic Deat. „Netherworlds“ wird im Oktober 2026 das Licht des Herbstes erblicken. Produziert von Miiro Varjus und gemischt sowie gemastert von Jens Bogren (At The Gates, Arch Enemy, Kreator, The Halo Effect, Dark Tranquillity…), zeigt sich das neue Album INSOMNIUM so dynamisch und filmisch wie nie zuvor und ist das erste Album seit dem Beitritt des Gitarristen Tomy Laisto. Das düstere, aber dennoch opulente Artwork des Albums stammt von Travis Smith (Opeth, Amorphis, Devin Townsend…) und ermöglicht einen tiefen Einblick in die für INSOMNIUM so typische Melancholie. Da sich INSOMNIUM nie damit zufrieden geben, sich ausschließlich auf alte Formeln zu verlassen oder nur ausgetretene Pfade zu beschreiten, suchen sie weiterhin nach neuen Nuancen, Texturen und emotionalen Tiefen in ihrer Musik, ohne dabei ihren Kern zu verlieren.

For the tenth time, they are raising the curtains to a new album full of Finnish melancholy, haunting melodies, and ferocious melodic death — “Netherworlds” will see the light of autumn in October 2026. Produced by Miiro Varjus and mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (At The Gates, Arch Enemy, Kreator, The Halo Effect, Dark Tranquillity…), the new full-length release captures INSOMNIUM at their most dynamic and cinematic yet and marks the first album since the joining of guitarist Tomy Laisto.
