Auf ihrem ersten Album seit dem Weggang ihres langjährigen Schlagzeugers Sam Corbett haben die beliebten kanadischen Rocker die Hilfe einer Vielzahl unglaublicher Gastschlagzeuger und Freunde der Band in Anspruch genommen, darunter der für den JUNO nominierte Trevor Falls, Adam Hindle (Dwayne Gretzky, Born Ruffians), Steve Kiely (Golden Feather), Jordan Murphy (Walrus, Adam Bladwin) und Dani Nash (July Talk)
Das Album enthält 11 neue Tracks, darunter die neueste Single der Band, „Nobody But You”, die kürzlich auf Platz 17 der Billboard Mainstream Rock und Platz 14 der Active Rock kletterte und zu den meistgespielten Tracks des Formats gehörte.
„Wir freuen uns sehr darauf, das Jahr 2026 mit Keep Out of the Storm zu beginnen. Diese neuen Songs scheinen den Ton für das nächste Kapitel der Band anzugeben“, sagt Bassist und Sänger Ryan Gullen. „Es ist etwas Besonderes, ein Album zu entdecken, während man es aufnimmt, und im Falle eines Albums in voller Länge hat man den Raum, sich auszubreiten, den Groove zu finden und zu beobachten, wie alles zu einem Ganzen zusammenkommt.“ Er fügt hinzu: „Die Zusammenarbeit mit einer Handvoll sehr talentierter Schlagzeuger, die wir sehr schätzen, hat den Sessions neue Farben und Energie verliehen, und die Live-Aufnahmen im Studio haben die Songs auf eine Weise zum Leben erweckt, die sich unmittelbar und aufregend anfühlte. Wir können es kaum erwarten, dass die Leute es hören und diese Songs mit auf Tour nehmen, um sie gemeinsam zu erleben.“
Das Album wurde mit dem langjährigen Kollaborateur Thomas D’arcy aufgenommen und vom Bandmitglied Ewan Currie produziert. Es ist ihr erstes Album seit Outta Sight aus dem Jahr 2022 und folgt auf ein super Jahr für die Band. 2025 absolvierten sie eine ausverkaufte Arenatournee durch Kanada als Vorgruppe von Bryan Adams, veröffentlichten zwei erfolgreiche EPs, Paradise Alone und Hell Together, und gründeten ihr eigenes Label, Right On Records.
Es ist auch ein spezielles VIP-Tour-Paket erhältlich, das eine Live-10″ und eine signierte Limited Edition der Platte enthält.
Frontmann Ewan Currie sagt: „Wir hatten viel Spaß dabei, mit Bryan durch das Land zu touren. Jetzt ist es an der Zeit, mit unserer eigenen Headliner-Tournee zurückzukommen.“

The Sheepdogs werden auch in Bryan Adams and Friends: A Great Big Holiday Jam zu sehen sein, einer einstündigen Weihnachtssendung mit festlichen Hits und Auftritten von Alessia Cara, Alan Doyle, Barenaked Ladies, Lights und anderen, die alle in Bryans gemütlichem Warehouse-Studio gedreht wurden. The Sheepdogs, winners of multiple platinum awards and four JUNO Awards, announce their new album Keep Out Of The Storm, which will be released on 27 February 2026 on their newly founded label Right On Records.
On their first album since the departure of longtime drummer Sam Corbett, the popular Canadian rockers enlisted the help of a host of incredible guest drummers and friends of the band, including JUNO nominee Trevor Falls, Adam Hindle (Dwayne Gretzky, Born Ruffians), Steve Kiely (Golden Feather), Jordan Murphy (Walrus, Adam Bladwin) and Dani Nash (July Talk).
The album features 11 new tracks, including the band’s latest single, ‘Nobody But You,’ which recently climbed to No. 17 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart and No. 14 on Active Rock, becoming one of the format’s most-played tracks.
‘We’re really excited to kick off 2026 with Keep Out of the Storm. These new songs seem to set the tone for the next chapter of the band,’ says bassist and singer Ryan Gullen. ‘It’s special to discover an album as you record it, and in the case of a full-length album, you have the space to spread out, find the groove and watch everything come together as a whole.’ He adds, „Working with a handful of very talented drummers whom we hold in high regard added new colours and energy to the sessions, and the live recording in the studio brought the songs to life in a way that felt immediate and exciting. We can’t wait for people to hear it and take these songs on tour with us to experience them together.“
The album was recorded with long-time collaborator Thomas D’arcy and produced by band member Ewan Currie. It is their first album since 2022’s Outta Sight and follows a great year for the band. In 2025, they completed a sold-out arena tour of Canada as the opening act for Bryan Adams, released two successful EPs, Paradise Alone and Hell Together, and founded their own label, Right On Records.
A special VIP tour package is also available, which includes a live 10″ and a signed limited edition of the record.
Frontman Ewan Currie says, ‘We had a lot of fun touring the country with Bryan. Now it’s time to come back with our own headlining tour.’
As proof of their commitment to music lovers who are used to travelling long distances to see a live show, the tour also includes cities and venues that are rarely found on the tour schedules of well-known artists, reaffirming The Sheepdogs‘ dedication to their fan base by promising unforgettable nights of rock “n” roll magic.
The Sheepdogs will also appear on Bryan Adams and Friends: A Great Big Holiday Jam, a one-hour Christmas special featuring festive hits and performances by Alessia Cara, Alan Doyle, Barenaked Ladies, Lights and others, all filmed in Bryan’s cosy warehouse studio. Home
