In einer Zeit, in der die Aufmerksamkeit oft kürzer lebt als ein Refrain, wirkt eine zwei Jahrzehnte währende Bandgeschichte fast wie ein kleines Wunder. Doch genau dieses Wunder haben LANSDOWNE Realität werden lassen. Seit inzwischen 20 Jahren trotzt die Band aus Boston allen Schnelllebigkeiten des Musikgeschäfts – und steht in der Gegenwart stärker, fokussierter und entschlossener da als je zuvor.

Als Zeichen dieser Stärke erscheint heute das brandneue Album „Wish You Well“ und schon ab Mitte April tourt die Gruppe ausgiebig durch Deutschland! Am 14.04. gibt’s ein kostenloses Kick-Off-Event namens „Loud Island“ im „The Station“ (Marzellenstraße 50) in Köln. Musikjournalist Ore Bihovsky wird LANSDOWNE live interviewen, danach können Fans Fragen stellen und mit der Band anstoßen.

Was als ambitionierter Traum begann, ist längst zu einer echten Erfolgsgeschichte gereift. LANSDOWNE haben den ehrlichen Weg gewählt: Tausende Tourkilometer, schlaflose Nächte im Studio, Songwriting zwischen Euphorie und Zweifel. Sie haben erlebt, wie sich Musiklandschaften verändern – und dabei nie ihre eigene Identität verloren. „Wir sind lange genug zusammen, um genau zu wissen, worauf es ankommt – und was man getrost hinter sich lassen kann“, bringt Leadgitarrist Shaun Lichtenstein die Essenz dieser Reise auf den Punkt. Das neue Album „Wish You Well“ markiert einen selbstbewussten Schritt nach vorn. Das Werk verbindet alles, was LANSDOWNE ausmacht: druckvolle Gitarren, große Melodien und emotionale Direktheit.

Frontmann John Ricci beschreibt die Botschaft des Albums so: „Bei „Wish You Well“ geht es darum, Vergangenes mit Respekt loszulassen und mit neuer Kraft in die Zukunft zu gehen. Nicht zurückzuschauen, sondern stärker weiterzugehen, als man gestartet ist.“ Auf den Punkt bringt das auch die aktuelle Radiosingle „Rescue“ – eine moderne Rock-Hymne mit der zentralen Botschaft: Die Stärke, nach der wir suchen, finden wir in uns selbst.

In an age where attention spans are often shorter than a chorus, a band’s two-decade-long history feels almost like a minor miracle. Yet LANSDOWNE has made precisely this miracle a reality. For 20 years now, the Boston-based band has defied the fast-paced nature of the music business—and today stands stronger, more focused, and more determined than ever before.

As a sign of this strength, their brand-new album “Wish You Well” is out today, and starting in mid-April, the group will be touring extensively throughout Germany! You can find all the dates below; for interview and guest list requests, please feel free to contact us! On April 14, there’s a free kick-off event called “Loud Island” at “The Station” (Marzellenstraße 50) in Cologne. Music journalist Ore Bihovsky will interview LANSDOWNE live, after which fans can ask questions and raise a glass with the band.

What began as an ambitious dream has long since matured into a true success story. LANSDOWNE have chosen the honest path: thousands of tour miles, sleepless nights in the studio, songwriting that oscillates between euphoria and doubt. They’ve witnessed how musical landscapes change—and never lost their own identity in the process. “We’ve been together long enough to know exactly what matters—and what we can confidently leave behind,” says lead guitarist Shaun Lichtenstein, summing up the essence of this journey. The new album “Wish You Well” marks a confident step toward.

Frontman John Ricci describes the album’s message this way: “‘Wish You Well’ is about letting go of the past with respect and moving forward into the future with renewed strength. It’s not about looking back, but about moving forward stronger than when you started.” The current radio single “Rescue” also sums this up perfectly—a modern rock anthem with the central message: The strength we seek is found within ourselves.
